BORON

Bob Boron is the best super element in the world. His power is to treat people's arthritis, and when he treats arthritis he treats it good. He makes peoples bones extremely light so they can fly. Everyone wants to get arthritis so they can be treated by Boron. Sometimes when people see the famous green light shining from him, they pretend they have it so they can be treated. His power was first discovered by his good friend Joseph Louis Gay Lussac in 1808 when he was combining boric acid with potassium. Another thing Boron can do, is ignite things. He can even make rockets fly. Boron is always needed in order to help plants grow as well. Boron has a density of 2.34 g/cm3, so he can sometimes fly too! Boron is a great element and he is always making the world a better place and helping people.

History of the Periodic Table

There were many different periodic tables created before the one we have today.  They were arranged differently and had different elements on them. Dalton found that atomic weights were different for each element. Bezalius discovered the atomic weights for 45 different elements.  Moseley arranged the periodic table by the atomic number, which is how the modern periodic table is arranged. Dobereiner thought that the elements properties were more important than the weight. Newlands presented the idea that elements were arranged by weight and was rejected. Mendeleev arranged the periodic by weight, but left spaces for unknown elements that would later be discovered. His periodic table excelled because of this. Finally, Moseley discovered protons and found that the periodic table should be put in order by atomic number, but used Mendeleev's model of the periodic table.

Option 1:
The most interesting chemist to me, is Mendeleev. His mom, Maria Mendeleev died in a fire while he was very young. Her last words to him were about science, and this is what inspired him to excel in science and become very smart. He rode to St. Petersburg at age 14 to get an education, which was a very long distance for him to travel. He believed in Newlands' law of octaves. He came up with a card game with the atomic weights and element, after studying elements for over a decade. Mendeleev is known as the "father of the periodic table." It was very smart of him to leave space on the table for unknown elements, which he later discovered.
